When we empower educators, they can then transform the lives of hundreds of students. TGR Foundation offers a variety of programs and opportunities for educators.

STEM Studio, is one of our flagship programs. It’s a multi-day and multi-level professional learning series hosted over the summer months and designed to strengthen inquiry-based instruction and empower teachers to create engaging, student-centered classrooms.

Offered at no cost to educators with support from DoW STEM, STEM Studio equips educators with research-backed strategies that build confidence, expand instructional strategies, and ultimately improve student outcomes.

Across a four-part immersive series, educators engage in STEM challenges, reflect on instructional practice, and examine how inquiry frameworks can deepen student understanding. Sessions emphasize lesson design, facilitation strategies, and classroom structures that help students build durable skills connected to future careers.

“The diversity of teachers from different content and grade levels made the exchanges very insightful,” said one participant. “As a science teacher, the Inquiry method is familiar to me. Seeing how to apply inquiry in other subject areas, such as art or social science was very enlightening.”

Throughout their STEM Studio experience, educators will:

  • participate in dynamic, hands-on STEM activities that incorporate inquiry;
  • learn how to design lessons using inquiry frameworks;
  • walk away with ready-to-use tools, resources, and ideas;
  • and join a community of educators committed to expanding access to high-quality learning.

STEM Studio is available free of charge to educators, with multiple ways to participate. In-person sessions are offered in Anaheim, CALos Angeles, CA, and Philadelphia, PA, with breakfast and lunch provided. Virtual sessions are also available to educators across the country, making participation accessible regardless of location.

“I would recommend TGR Foundation’s educator workshops to anyone who wants to grow and become a better educator,” said Chris Wilkinsonson, a middle school teacher who participated in a session during his visit from Uruguay.

Participants receive a certificate of completion, gain access to micro-credentials, and benefit from high-quality professional learning aligned to classroom practice. Additionally, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) teachers earn 12 workshop hours toward salary point credit for each STEM Studio session attended in person.

“I am currently teaching in one of the poor and small schools here in Arkansas,” said another participant. “STEM Studio made me realize that there is tons of support for teachers that can help us improve our teaching capabilities.”

Registration is now open for summer 2026. Educators interested in strengthening inquiry-based learning and expanding opportunities for their students are encouraged to register and join this growing community.
