Tiger Woods and TGR Foundation have partnered with Augusta National Golf Club to bring a TGR Learning Lab to Augusta, GA. The new Learning Lab will serve students from the local community, providing access to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education and opportunities to prepare for their futures.
In 2028 the TGR Learning Lab Augusta will open its doors to serve local students, families and educators through free STEAM educational enrichment, career and college readiness and youth golf programs that empower students to pursue their passions and unleash their potential.
The TGR Learning Lab Augusta will be located at the former Lamar Elementary School site and serve students in the Richmond County School System and the surrounding Central Savannah River area school districts.
Prior to opening, we will deliver pre-launch programming including STEAM curriculum, programs and community events. Stay up to date with news and project updates by joining our email newsletter.
As a part of the renovation of Augusta Municipal Golf Course, commonly known as The Patch, Tiger Woods and his course architecture firm, TGR Design, designed a nine-hole short course for the community to enjoy and learn the game of golf. Named “The Loop at The Patch,” a tribute to caddies who have played golf at The Patch for decades, the short course opened in April of 2026 along with the redesigned 18-hole course, welcoming players of all skill levels for a fun and affordable experience.
