TGR Foundation presents

STEM STUDIO

 Educator Professional LEARNING Supported by DoD STEM

STEM Studio is a FREE three-day, hands-on professional learning program for in-school and out-of-school educators to create active student-centered environments using inquiry.

Educators form all disciplines and grade levels are encouraged to attend.

Both in-person and virtual sessions are offered. In-person sessions will be hosted at:

In addition to interactive training, valuable resources and meaningful connections with fellow educators, the training will also provide the following incentives.

STEM Studio is valued up to $400 and offered at no cost to educators with support from DoD STEM. Space is limited.

JOIN OUR EDUCATOR COMMUNITY

Joining TGR Foundation’s Educator Professional Development Community provides educators with essential tools and resources to expand students’ access to STEM careers, through programs like Professional Learning Pathway, STEM Studio, and DoD STEM Ambassador.

STEM STUDIO 1: DEVELOPING INQUIRY MINDSETS

Participants will:

  • Engage in hands-on inquiry-based learning activities
  • Practice using inquiry frameworks for planning and learning
  • Receive tools and resources to successfully implement inquiry-based practices

STEM Studio 2: Making Inquiry Visible

Participants will:

  • Engage in hands-on activities that emphasize inquiry and making-thinking-visible principles
  • Analyze practices that make student thinking visible
  • Receive tools and resources to successfully implement making-thinking-visible practices

STEM STUDIO 3: CREATING INQUIRY ENVIRONMENTS

Participants will:
  • Identify the conditions for creating an inquiry environment
  • Practices applying design thinking principles
  • Receive tools and resources to transform a learning environment to one that emphasizes inquiry
