Although classes are back in session in many communities across the nation, learning doesn’t have to end as the bell sounds at the end of the school day. The Expanded Learning Program at the TGR Learning Lab welcomes middle and high school students in Anaheim, CA to the safe halls of our facility to benefit from academic support and hands-on learning experiences.

During classes held Monday- Friday, 4-6 p.m., the staff builds strong relationships with students while fostering a growth mindset, building self-confidence and encouraging youth to challenge themselves. Students that participate in the program gain knowledge and skills applicable to their academic studies and careers in the workforce of tomorrow.

Youth are also able to recognize their full potential and explore their interests with advanced technology, project-based learning and an abundance of tools, resources and areas of study.

In addition to 30 college-access and financial aid workshops offered annually, classes in more than 50 areas of study include but are not limited to the following:

  • Paleo-Tech: Ancient Engineering
  • EV3 Robotics
  • Side-Scrolling Game Design
  • Wearable Electronics
  • Human Body Lab: Exploring Biomedical Careers

TGR Foundation’s Expanded Learning Program extends beyond the walls of the flagship learning lab in Southern California, enriching the lives of students around the country at satellite campuses in Washington, D.C., South Florida, Philadelphia, New York and the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.

Expanded learning unleashes the full capacity of students in underserved communities and you can bring them into your home through our online digital platform, TGR EDU: Explore. Take advantage of the free resources in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and college access.

For more information on the classes and workshops offered visit TGRFoundation.org. Applications are available online but don’t wait registration ends August 17.
