Each week throughout the PGA TOUR Season the MetLife MatchUp recognizes players who have overcome challenging situations on the golf course. Tiger Woods qualified during Genesis Open and advanced to the final round with a chance to earn $750K for TGR Foundation.
Through a people’s choice competition fans can vote up to 20 times daily Monday, July 22- Friday, Aug. 2. With every vote, participants will be entered into a drawing to earn a replica set of the winner’s golf clubs.
“Tiger has shown us what it means to be a champion on and off the golf course,” said Rick Singer, President & CEO. “We are grateful for this unique opportunity and encourage fans to vote every day to help us continue to empower youth through education.”
TGR Foundation places a strong emphasis on workforce development and career preparation through several signature programs operated primarily from the flagship TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, CA and satellites across the country.
In addition to the learning labs, TGR EDU: Explore, a digital resource library for students, educators and families was also developed in partnership with Discovery Education to make science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and college-access lessons accessible around the globe with the click of a mouse.
“Our student-centered programs are consistently growing to reach more youth around the globe,” said Dr. Katherine Bihr, Vice President of Programs and Education. “This is a great opportunity for us to gain additional support for our programs and every dollar will be invested into youth as they work toward their dreams.”
