TGR LEARNING LAB ATLANTA

With a $20 million grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, TGR Foundation is launching a new TGR Learning Lab in Atlanta, Georgia, to provide opportunities that will empower students to pursue their passions through education. Through the partnership, TGR Foundation will operate a TGR Learning Lab, providing youth access to programs focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education, health and well-being and career and college readiness.

“I have immense respect and admiration for Tiger, not only for his legendary career, but for the way he continues to lead with purpose off the course. It’s truly an honor to partner with someone who believes so deeply in the power of education and community. Seeing the impact of the TGR Foundation, from the Learning Labs to the hundreds of thousands of students empowered through its programs, is incredibly inspiring and I look forward to seeing the impact the TGR Learning Lab Atlanta makes on our community”

“Nearly 30 years ago, my parents and I created TGR Foundation with the goal of making a positive impact in a young person’s life daily. Through our TGR Learning Labs, we are providing access to safe spaces and programs that are bringing this dream to life. I am excited to bring a TGR Learning Lab to Atlanta, as it will allow us to empower more students.”
The TGR Learning Lab Atlanta will support the community through access to an inspiring environment and innovative education programs that allow young people to discover their passions and unlock their unlimited potential.
The grant will be used to transform the former Capitol View Elementary School, built in 1927, but not operational since 2013, into the TGR Learning Lab Atlanta. The learning facility will primarily serve students enrolled at the Atlanta Public Schools. It will offer free, high-quality educational programs that will provide opportunities, experiences and support to thousands of students each year. The renovation and transformation of the historic school building into a TGR Learning Lab is currently expected to open for occupancy by late 2027.
Since 2006, TGR Learning Labs have made a difference in the lives of more than 217,000 young people, driving transformational change in their lives and their communities. Tiger Woods’ vision is to create safe spaces that inspire students to learn, grow and chase after their dreams. The flagship Learning Lab opened in Anaheim, California (2006) followed by the Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2025).
