The TGR Learning Lab Anaheim launched its first podcast, The Lab Report, on Thursday, June 12. Produced by student members in the Find Your Grind multimedia studio on site, the podcast was created to spark curiosity, build confidence and bridge the gap between student potential and real-world opportunity.
The first episode introduces one of the podcast hosts, Diego, a high school senior and Orange County native with a passion for sports and media. Diego has participated in numerous multimedia classes and opportunities to build his skills and portfolio.
His cohost, Samantha, shares Orange County roots and is excited to expand her skills while learning from experts in various industries.
“This student-led project offers a space for young voices to explore career paths, personal growth, and creative expression all through authentic conversation,” said Asya Wilbon, Lead instructor of multimedia curriculum. “We’re proud of the creativity, leadership and initiative these students have shown.”
The Lab Report is a podcast by students, for students. Each month will feature two episodes highlighting a student sharing their interests and passions for a particular industry or career path followed by a professional currently working in that field to share their journeys, experiences and best practices. Episodes will be available on Amazon, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
“I’m super excited to start this podcast,” said Diego. “Tune in as we kick off our podcast with real stories, real voices and the journeys that make them.”
Listeners can expect real-world conversations, relatable stories and behind-the-scenes insights into the passions and journeys of youth and working professionals. Topics will range from creative careers and tech to health, sports and more.
