International STEM Studio (ISS), a signature initiative of the program, provides a unique opportunity for educators around the world to come together for a five-day learning experience.
Through the training participants learn how to deliver student-centered, inquiry-based lessons that can connect students to real-world STEM learning opportunities and unlock their potential.
ISS is held at the flagship TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, California where educators participate in hands-on activities that promote active engagement and encourage critical thinking in their students.
Educators return to their countries with an action plan to apply what they learned to their work in classrooms and communities.
*Based on self-reporting provided by the ISS participants (average 1:200 teacher to student ratio). There were 64 participants in total between 2018 and 2019.
