Igniting Passions
Through TGR Learning Labs

tiger’s vision

TGR Learning Labs were created from Tiger Woods’ vision to create a safe place for students to “learn, grow and chase after their dreams.” TGR Learning Labs provide opportunities, experiences and mentors that help students from under-resourced communities find their passions and develop a plan for their future. Since opening his flagship campus in Anaheim, California in 2006, TGR Learning Labs have served more than 217,000 students through innovative educational programs, empowering them with the knowledge, tools and confidence needed to unlock their unlimited potential.
It’s important to me to be able to build a place that is safe and feels like home. The Learning Labs are innovative spaces where kids can attend and call it their own. We provide the programs and support, but it’s their home.”

TGR Learning Lab programs help my son discover what he likes and what his passions are. That’s important for him. We feel like the Learning Lab is helping him and everyone there loves him.”

TGR Learning Lab Philadelphia

On April 1, 2025, the Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab first welcomed students inside the building for a soft opening. The 30,000-square-foot facility was built in partnership with Cobbs Creek Foundation and capital campaign lead donors, the Smilow Foundation and the Woodland family. Since opening, the Learning Lab has provided thousands of first- through 12th-grade students in Philadelphia a wide range of educational offerings, including tutoring, school-day field trips, after-school classes and academic support, along with college and career readiness resources.
