TGR Foundation is partnering with the Cobbs Creek Foundation to enhance access to education and provide opportunities for youth in West Philadelphia through a new TGR Learning Lab on the Cobbs Creek campus. Our new Learning Lab will support the community through access to innovative education programs that empower students to discover their passions and unleash their potential.
Cobbs Creek is a new golf and education campus serving the diverse youth of Philadelphia. The three pillars of Cobbs Creek include:
Community – engage the surrounding community with transformational programs
Education – year-round educational opportunities for students of all ages
Golf – restore Cobbs Creek Golf Course to original design and create access to golf
TGR Foundation will operate its signature TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek, providing students access to education and opportunities to gain real-world experiences and skills.
Through innovative programming in an inspiring learning environment, TGR Foundation will provide opportunities to help local students thrive in school and life.
The TGR Learning Lab will support students from the local community, providing access to education in a positive and supportive learning environment. 1st – 4th grade students are provided vital educational resources and ongoing support in local schools during the school year, helping close the achievement gap through:
TGR Design will build a short course to provide access and opportunities for the community to learn and practice the game of golf. It will be accessible to golfers of all ages and abilities, introducing new players to the sport. Year-round programming through the TGR Learning Lab will be available at the short course to build young golfers’ skills while helping them develop the game’s core values.
