CAREER-CONNECTED LEARNING PROGRAM
FOLLOW YOUR PASSIONS. ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER.
To prepare for a rapidly changing job market, TGR Foundation is helping students gain the skills and experiences needed to learn, grow and thrive. Through year-round programming focused on workforce development and career readiness, students are given the tools and resources needed to make informed decisions about their future.
Local high school students will participate in real-world learning experiences aligned with their career interests to enrich their high school studies and help them develop a post-secondary plan through:
Industry Academies co-facilitated by industry and school district partners
In-school, activity-based career explorer projects aligned with dedicated careers
Real-world work experiences such as internships, job shadowing and apprenticeships
Post-secondary education and workforce readiness workshops
Immersive yet condensed learning experiences that will allow 9th & 10th grade students to explore high-growth industries through interactive activities, industry panels and work-based challenges, helping the students:
Discover the wide array of careers aligned with their interests
Collaborate with peers to develop solutions to real-world challenges
Receive industry-specific post-secondary guidance
Interact with industry professionals
During the academic year, high school students will participate in activity-based projects aligned with specific business units of an industry, providing opportunities for them to:
