PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PATHWAY

Fulfilling Tiger’s vision to impact more students around the world, TGR Foundation introduces the Professional Learning Pathway, providing educators with interactive trainings and resources focused on inquiry and student-centered learning.

WHAT IS THE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PATHWAY?

The Professional Learning Pathway is intended for all educators, traditional, informal, STEM focused and non-STEM focused, working with youth in grades 4-12. With the goal of improving student learning outcomes, educators will:

  • Develop a learning environment that fosters questioning, reflection and application.

  • Collaborate with peers to foster innovation and better connect student empowerment to teaching.

  • Shift practice from teacher centered to student centered.

  • Create environments that better prepare youth for modern career paths.

Micro-Credentials and Certification

Educators will have the opportunity to receive a micro-credential for each STEM Studio workshop they complete as well as an Inquiry Educator Certificate upon sequential completion of all four STEM Studio courses. Certification is subject to educators not only participating in all workshops but also completing an independent project where student outcomes are assessed due to the incorporation of inquiry methods in their classroom.

dod stem ambassador program

Through our partnership with DoD STEM, we’re proud to manage the STEM Ambassador Program. The DoD STEM Ambassador Program recognizes outstanding educators and promotes STEM learning across the country. DoD STEM Ambassadors are carefully chosen by the Department of Defense STEM Education Consortium (DSEC) and DoD STEM based on their commitment to working with students who have been historically underrepresented in STEM and/or are military connected.

Ambassadors participate in a variety of professional development and community building including collecting educational resources in collaboration with a partner organization, presenting in a conference of choice, blogging about educational resources in connection with DoD STEM opportunities and more.
