PHILADELPHIA, PA – TGR Foundation has announced Meredith Foote as the executive director of its new TGR Learning Lab in Philadelphia. Foote, an experienced leader in education will oversee all programs, operations and funding opportunities at the TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek which will empower students to discover and achieve their fullest potential.
“We are excited to have Meredith join TGR Foundation and lead our expansion into Philadelphia at the Cobbs Creek campus,” said John Lee, senior vice president programs and education. “She shares our passion for education and providing youth with access and opportunities to thrive.”
Foote joins TGR Foundation with more than 17 years of experience in education. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the principal of Overbrook Educational Center, a leading Community School in Philadelphia where she led significant improvement in student achievement. Foote began her career with Teach for America as a high school teacher and went on to serve as the chief innovation officer for Camden Street School in Newark, New Jersey.
A Pennsylvania native, Foote earned her bachelor’s degree from Haverford College. She continued her education at Teachers College, Columbia University where she earned a Master of Education and recently earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

Based in Philadelphia at the Cobbs Creek campus, Foote will lead TGR Foundation’s team of educators and programs serving 1st through 12th grade students. She will work collaboratively with Cobbs Creek Foundation and the community to develop and deliver programming that maximizes impact on youth.
