We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Earl Woods Scholar Chiamaka Obilo, a first-year student at Harvard, for our Scholar Insider series. Her background of growing up with a resourceful, low-income father in the Igbo-Nigerian community of Boston, coupled with her own health struggles, have led her to pursue a career in the medical field. According to Chiamaka, “I do not want to simply work in hospitals anymore. I want my work to directly impact global communities.”
