Last month, TGR Foundation made its way to Las Vegas to host its milestone 20th Tiger Jam, the sold-out, exclusive two-day charity event held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. With appearances from former professional football star and NFL Network host Reggie Bush, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and multi-GRAMMY and Billboard Award-winning band, Train, who performed exclusively for Tiger Jam guests, the weekend was one to remember.

However, like all TGR Foundation events, Tiger Jam’s overarching purpose is and always has been to raise awareness and support for the students and scholars we serve around the world. To highlight the work we do and the reason we do it, Earl Woods Scholar Desiree Sim took to the stage at the weekend’s VIP reception.

Speaking to a packed room and garnering a standing ovation, Desiree, a New York native and rising senior at Skidmore College, bravely shared her triumphant journey – one that began when she was just two years old and was shaped by uncertainty and loss.

Desiree, like many of the students we serve, stands as a reminder that by leveling the playing field, our kids are unstoppable.

Redefining what it means to be a champion.
