TGR Foundation (TGRF) is devoted to high quality, no-cost educator professional development across the United States. Wait, is that across the world? Yes, TGRF is expanding its reach to an international audience. Our belief is that all students deserve a high-quality education and highly-trained teachers, and that should not stop at any border’s edge.

This July, TGR EDU: Create, an educator-professional development program, will host 19 teachers from 11 countries at an International STEM Studio from July 17-26. These educators hail from Austria, Cuba, Czech Republic, Ghana, Lithuania, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Romania, Turkmenistan and Ukraine and represent elementary through high school institutions, teaching basic science, technology and/or mathematics. They were all selected for International STEM Studio based on their teaching promise and aptitude to take what they learn and share among their colleagues and communities.

The STEM Studio curriculum has been specifically focused to meet these educators where they are, focusing on project-based learning in STEM disciplines and appropriate use of available technology in their classrooms. In addition, all participants will use a predesigned rubric to self-evaluate their current STEM programs, develop goals to enhance them and implementation plans to ensure their goals are met.

Participants will leave STEM Studio with exposure to best practices in STEM education, a chance to plan how to incorporate these practices into their classrooms and schools, as well as continued contact with TGR EDU: Create staff to support these educators’ efforts.

Our modern world is an interconnected one, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure young people are prepared with the 21st century skills needed for a modern workforce. TGR Foundation is taking this responsibility seriously, making sure educators around the globe are prepared to usher their students into the modern age.

Redefining what it means to be a champion.
