TGR Foundation heads to ASU+GSV Summit

In just a few weeks’ time, TGR Foundation will be heading to the 2018 ASU + GSV Summit in San Diego, California. Founded in 2010 with a collaboration between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV), the annual conference brings together business leaders, venture philanthropists, entrepreneurs and K-12 and university leaders and policy makers to discuss how we can use innovation to raise educational outcomes.

As a sponsor of the summit, TGR Foundation is excited to host several sessions tackling a range of topics from innovation and equity to eSports and the STEM Ecosystem. Joining us in conversation are friends of the foundation, Dr. Milton Chen, Senior Fellow and Executive Director, Emeritus at The George Lucas Educational Foundation; Gerald R. Solomon, Executive Director of the Samueli Foundation; and Dr. Constance Steinkuehler, Professor of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine.

In addition to our sessions, Dr. Katherine Bihr, TGR Foundation’s Vice President of Programs and Education, will take the stage at ASU + GSV and join fellow thought leaders to speak on the issue of equity and access in the fourth industrial revolution in a session titled, Designing Innovation for Equity. Dr. Bihr’s session will be moderated by Tom Vander Ark, CEO of Getting Smart and the first Executive Director of Education for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
