TGR Foundation selected to strengthen national K-16 STEM education, outreach
TGR Foundation is excited to announce a partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to drive forward its mission to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The Department of Defense’s recently-launched Defense STEM Education Consortium (DSEC) will strengthen kindergarten through college STEM education and outreach programs across the United States.

Recognizing the importance of quality STEM education and gaps in underrepresented communities, we recently expanded our programs to reach students and educators around the world. The summer of sophomore year can be a very difficult time in the life of the average college student. Between choosing a discipline and finding a career, there is an overwhelming amount of pressure on the student to find a project that will help them further their professional goals. For many, summer plans usually involve taking on internships, doing research or enrolling in summer courses while others decide to work or take trips around the world. During the summer of my sophomore year at the University of California, Berkeley, I had the privileges of doing a little bit of both. Through my Anthropology class, I spent several weeks exploring, working in and experiencing the breathtaking beauty that is Peru.

Genesis Open highlights TGR Learning Lab Student Artists

TGR Learning Lab Returns to Genesis Open
For the third consecutive year, the TGR Learning Lab’shands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities will make their way to The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles during the Genesis Open. From Thursday, February 14 through Sunday, February 17, young golf fans can swing by the TGR Learning Lab powered by CDW & Samsung and test their STEM and golf skills.
Teens Unite to Prioritize Mental Health and Stop Violence
TGR Foundation recognizes the importance of mindfulness in youth education and incorporates the practice into our curriculum at TGR Learning Labs. We’re proud to support Adam Avin in his quest to spread awareness and best practices for implementing mindfulness in daily activities. At 14 years old, Adam has founded the Kids Association for Mindfulness in Education and an upcoming online Mindful Kids Peace Summit, a 5 day program for teens ages 11-17, offered in schools internationally.
