January is National Mentoring Month and to celebrate we are kicking off the Earl Woods Scholar Mentor Spotlight Series with entrepreneur and digital media businessman, Jai Bugarin and his mentee, scholar Alejandro Wences.
For Jai, serving as an Earl Woods Scholar mentor allows him to fuel his passion for inspiring, guiding and educating the next generation of entrepreneurs, and in particular Latino entrepreneurs, like himself.
In this inaugural piece, we also speak to Earl Woods Scholar and Haverford College junior Alejandro Wences. Alejandro, a first-generation college student and a political science major, moved from Southern California to Pennsylvania for college and opens up about what his transition has been like and how his mentor has supported him throughout his academic journey.
