TGR EDU: GLOBAL
Launched in 2018 to impact more students worldwide, TGR EDU: Global is committed to uniting educators around the world to enhance their teaching practices.
35 countries were represented at the 2018-19 International STEM Studio.
ENHANCING GLOBAL EDUCATION
International STEM Studio (ISS), a signature initiative of the program, provides a unique opportunity for educators around the world to come together for a five-day learning experience.
Through the training participants learn how to deliver student-centered, inquiry-based lessons that can connect students to real-world STEM learning opportunities and unlock their potential.
ISS is held at the flagship TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, California where educators participate in hands-on activities that promote active engagement and encourage critical thinking in their students.
EXPANDING IMPACT
Educators return to their countries with an action plan to apply what they learned to their work in classrooms and communities.
- 93% of educators reported receiving helpful resources from the trainings to support their students
- 90% of educators reported learning new STEM strategies to implement with their students
- 95% of educators plan to implement content learned in this training with their students
*Based on self-reporting provided by the ISS participants (average 1:200 teacher to student ratio). There were 64 participants in total between 2018 and 2019.
